Money Speaks Louder III (Jails/Prisons Racket)

According to the 8th Amendment, "Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted." Part of the 5th Amendment states, "No person... shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.
People who have experienced being on the wrong side of the law will know that Our Nation has departed from these ideals. Not to say that we are innocent until proven guilty...since the wording of that is actually not in the US Constitution, but the idea is there.
Actually, the way it all works, if you have money, you can make bail, and have a good lawyer. Otherwise you will suffer the consequences of a burned out DA kiss-up called a Public Defender...and plenty of time being incarcerated. Excessive bail is any bail that a person cannot afford. Just compensation for all of those cars, homes, and children seized by the police or CPS...prison sentence. Hmmm...how does that add up?
An interesting fact I discovered is that it is quite easy to get in trouble with the law, and once you are incarcerated, the county jail will begin to collect federal assistance for you...they net $99 per day. Food is not suitable for human consumption according to the labels on the bags it is removed from. Any fruit is almost 'pruno' when you get it. Prison's have their own disgusting thing going on. Why do we continue sending people into these places for minor things...and if they have money, they are able to avoid the whole situation?
